We are extremely proud to do all of our design in Finland in our own AINO studio.
It is a question of honour to us to maintain the quality of our process from the designer’s desk to the sewing.
AINO clothes are sized for adult women, and they fit many different body types. Each garment’s size and fit are designed
with care because their usability and beautiful look on the user is of utmost importance to us.
The sizing/fit of AINO clothes is mainly loose, but we do have some products in the collection that are slightly more form-fitting.
The measurements of AINO clothes are listed by each product at our online store. With our sizing guide it is easier for you to find
the right size, and AINO’s customer service is always ready to help you find the right size before placing your order.
All AINO clothes are made in Europe, within the EU in Estonia.
We use double fabric in the cuffs of AINO coats and tunics so that you can roll up any sleeve and
it will still look stylish without having to cut it shorter.
Nearly all AINO coats and tunics include pockets. We pay attention to the details of the pockets, too: the pockets are always
made discreet yet sufficiently deep and roomy. In the coats, we use a strong cotton fabric for the pockets so that they are
durable and remain prim in use.
In order to better manage the quality and supply chain of the fabrics, we only work with European factories.
We aim at only using factories who operate sustainably and can offer a transparent supply chain.
We use 100% viscose fabric to make linings to AINO coats. A viscose lining is breathable and does not cause
static like polyester that is more commonly used.
In AINO’s spring and winter coats, we use the 100% windproof WINDSTOPPER® fabric known from sports and outerwear
between the exterior and the lining. This material is water-reppelent, extremely breathable and comfortable to use in
various temperatures.
AINO spring coats have been treated to repel water. Out of winter coats, only the ones made of wool fabric do not include this treatment.
Thanks to the treatment, the exterior material of the coats is resistant to light rain and humidity.
All the zippers used in AINO clothes are “fusion zippers”. They contain both plastic and metal parts, combining the best qualities
of these materials. The zipper is durable, it slides well and is therefore easy to open and close.
In the coats we use zippers that open both top to bottom and vice versa in order to make the coat easy to use when sitting
down, for example. The coat loosens up when you open the zipper bottom up.
